New Cyre

A growing Cyran refugee town in eastern Breland, where bright Cyran craft and mourning-black dress stand against the cold foothills of the Seawall Mountains.

Region
Eastern Breland, beneath the Seawall Mountains
Type
Town

Artisans rebuild New Cyre beneath jagged snow-dusted peaks, scaffolding climbing half-finished stone halls while weavers, smiths, and potters trade among purple market tents at sunset.

Overview

New Cyre is a home made after the loss of a nation: a Brelish refugee town led by Prince Oargev ir’Wynarn, where Cyrans preserve their art, customs, and hope for a future.

The town climbs gently from the trade road toward the dark foothills of the Seawall Mountains. Its practical stone and timber buildings began as a refugee camp, but colorful shutters, painted doorways, copper bells, and glamerweave banners make it unmistakably Cyran. Many residents wear mourning-black cut in elaborate Cyran styles; others answer grief with brilliant coats, masks, and personal jewelry.

At its center are a broad market square, communal kitchens, workshops, and a modest administrative hall for Prince Oargev’s government. Beyond the settled streets, new homes, gardens, and work yards mark the town’s continual struggle to become more than a camp.

What players know

Why it matters

New Cyre is the living legacy of the nation the party fled through the Mournland, and a potential future point of contact with Cyran survivors.
