Overview
A simple wooden roadside tavern with a hearth and common room, a waypoint for pilgrims between Flamekeep and Danthaven. The party’s visit turned it into a site of violence and fear.
What players know
The party knows the innkeeper Aldric Thorne and his daughter Elara. After the party killed five of Ser Harwind Blackthorne’s thugs here, Dren threatened the family into silence.
Why it matters
The Waystone Tavern is where the party first clashed with the Church of the Silver Flame’s templars and chose intimidation over disclosure — a defining moral moment.
Campaign history
- Session #9: Stopped at the tavern; fought and killed five of Ser Harwind Blackthorne’s thugs who terrorized it, then threatened Aldric and Elara into silence.
- Session #10: The party covered its tracks here, hiding the templars’ bodies and staging the scene as a bandit attack before departing west.
