Session 09
📍 Locations
The Tomb of the Windless King, in the White Mountains; Kurn — The Wasp’s Nest and Marek’s Apothecary of Knives
⚔️ What Happened
The party fought the Reaper Wight and Skeleton Overlord in the Tomb of the Windless King’s ruined court. The battle left everyone but Red bleeding and unconscious. Alone, Red held the line and destroyed the undead.

Red quickly woke Marek, who treated the wounded as best he could. Their respite did not last: more skeletons began to claw their way out of the surrounding sand. The party fled the tomb before the new dead could surround them.
After another day on the road, the party reached Kurn. At the end of the day, they went to The Wasp’s Nest, where caravans crowded in from the roads. They spoke with Gelda and asked for her help. The party warned her that Daskinor’s brands can claim their bearers after death, turning them into undead slaves. Gelda was unconvinced: her own brand came from another source, and her former owner had traded her to necromancers.

Before the party left, Gelda shared one lead. House Azeth has posted a bounty to remove a band of Daskinor’s slavers operating near Kurn, about a day’s journey away.
Marek then returned to his Apothecary of Knives. His young assistants had followed up on his request to investigate the mysterious “other place” where Kurn’s people are going. They found no reason for the departures, only confirmation that people continue to leave Kurn.
