Session 07

Date

📍 Location

Flamekeep, from the lightning rail station to House Lyrandar’s airship offices.

⚔️ What Happened

The party arrived in Flamekeep before dawn. Everyone except M.A.7.7 slept at a modest inn beside the lightning rail station, while the sleepless warforged wandered through the nighttime fog and narrow streets.

M.A.7.7 met a baker loading a cart with bread for the morning deliveries. He helped with the work, struck up a conversation, and left with a loaf that he later gave to the party. The baker was one of the Last War’s many veterans and had taken part in a failed Thrane invasion.

After waking, the party traveled to House Lyrandar’s airship port. Sister Alia, a member of the clergy, received them and became furious when she learned that House Lyrandar had made no effort to compensate the survivors of an airship disaster that had stranded them in the Mournland.

She marched them directly to the Lyrandar offices, where they spoke with Seryse d’Lyrandar. Irritated by Sister Alia’s intervention, Seryse nevertheless offered the party free passage home. The party declined, but Drennak accepted a free sending to contact his father. House Lyrandar would instead negotiate compensation with House Tharashk.

The party had other, secret plans. They intended to follow a lead in Fairhaven concerning Jorlanna d’Cannith. Drennak had heard rumors that she was hiding an illegitimate child who might bear a dragonmark. Everything suggested that someone’s blood was needed to open the secret briefcase that had put the Lord of Blades on the party’s trail.
