📍 Location

The Creation Cradle beneath Delafelden, Maison du Gauche in Fairhaven, and a House Sivis message station.

⚔️ What Happened

The party confronted the hostile remnant that had seized M.A.7.7’s old body inside the Creation Cradle. Although connected to the Lord of Blades, it was not the true Lord of Blades. It was an unstable echo using the discarded body and the Cradle’s surrounding machinery as a vessel.

The battle was extremely dangerous. M.A.7.7 suffered severe damage and briefly lost consciousness, but the party survived and destroyed the remnant. M.A.7.7 remained himself, suffered only minor psychic harm, and was finally free of the Lord of Blades’ influence.

Jorlanna d’Cannith fully repaired him afterward and confirmed that the immediate danger had passed. She withdrew to her office to investigate the Lord of Blades further and begin devising a way to defeat him. Before leaving, she assured the party that they would always be welcome at Maison du Gauche and in Fairhaven whenever they needed shelter or support.

The party rested after the ordeal. Most slept at Maison du Gauche under Cannith hospitality, but Karsus remained uncomfortable with the arrangement and chose to sleep at the tavern instead. In the morning, he woke to find a gruesome warning in his bed. House Tarkanan had not forgotten the party. The deliberate message showed that they were being watched, toyed with, and marked for revenge.

That morning, Drennak visited House Sivis to contact his father. The reply was urgent: Drennak needed to return home to Zarash’ak, and the party should take the first available airship from Fairhaven to the Shadow Marches.

The party agreed. Drennak called in a favor owed by House Lyrandar and secured passage aboard the first available vessel bound for the marshes.
