Session 10

Date

📍 Location

The road west from the Waystone Tavern through Strath Miron, Lathios, and Lathleer in Aundair.

⚔️ What Happened

After the confrontation at the Waystone Tavern, the party covered its tracks. They hid the bodies of Ser Harwin Blackthorne’s templars in the brush and staged the dead horse and scene to resemble a bandit attack on a patrol. Someone would eventually find the bodies, but not soon.

Now riding the templars’ horses, the party headed west. They crossed Strath Miron, a narrow pass whose ancient stone arch marks the end of Thrane. It was a silent place of constant wind, with the names of dead templars carved into the stone.

On the Aundairian side, they reached Lathios, a small and unceremonious border village. They paid the entrance toll without trouble, stopped briefly at the local House Orien post, and continued onward.

In Lathleer, the party rested and explored. M.A.7.7 visited a vineyard outside the city and heard rumors about Jorlanna d’Cannith. She was supposedly romantically involved with the youngest son of Baron Kwanti d’Orien, and the stories of her illegitimate child might have more substance than the party first believed.

Renoir learned that several agents of the Black Writ—a secret order of inquisitors within the Church of the Silver Flame—had been seen inside Aundair’s borders. The information came from unexpected sources and raised serious questions about the Church’s activities in Aundairian territory.

The session ended with the party gathered at The Amber Rind to discuss its next steps.
